Terms and booking rules
These terms apply to The Bangkok Muay Thai Retreat (Feb 20 - Mar 6, 2027). By paying a deposit, you agree to them.
Who can book
- Adults 18 and over who will join a Muay Thai training session every weekday of the trip.
- At this time, we cannot accept bookings from residents of California, Florida, Washington, or Hawaii because of state travel-seller regulations. We hope to open these states in the future.
- You confirm at checkout that you are not a resident of a state listed above. We refund any booking we find was made from one of those states.
Payments
- A deposit of $1,000 holds your spot.
- You pay the rest in up to 3 payments. Everything is due by December 26, 2026 (the go / no-go date).
- If a payment is late, we may release your spot to the next person on the waitlist.
The trip-on rule
- The trip happens only if at least 7 people have paid by December 26, 2026.
- If we cancel the trip for this reason, or for any other reason on our side, you get 100% of what you paid back.
- Do not buy your flight until we email you “trip confirmed.” We are not responsible for flights booked before that email.
No cash refunds: transfer or credit
- The deposit and all payments are not refundable in cash, except if the trip is canceled.
- Option 1: transfer your spot to a friend. The friend must meet the same requirements (including training every weekday), accept these terms, and pay any amount still due. Tell us in writing before the trip.
- Option 2: keep what you paid as credit toward any Jabster retreat that starts within 12 months of this trip. Tell us in writing before the trip.
Pricing
- Prices follow a ladder (Founding, Early, Regular). Each tier ends on its end date or when its spots are gone, whichever comes first. The price you see when you pay your deposit is the price you pay.
Rooms
- Shared rooms are only for two people who know each other, such as a couple or two friends. Both people must train. We do not pair strangers.
- For a shared room, each person pays their own deposit with their own card. The booker puts a hold on their card first. The roommate then has 72 hours to put a hold on their own card. When both holds are in, we charge both cards at the same time. If the roommate does not do this in time, we release the booker's hold and nobody is charged.
- Each person in a shared room accepts these terms, signs the waiver, and pays their own remaining payments.
- Every attendee trains. Non-training partners or guests cannot join the trip.
- If one person in a shared room drops out and no friend takes the spot, the other person pays the private-room price.
Events outside our control
If events outside our control (for example natural disasters, unrest, epidemics, government action, or airline failures) stop or change the trip, we will try to move the trip to a new date first. Final wording to be set by our lawyer.
Filming
The retreat is filmed. Consent to being filmed and photographed, and to the use of that content on social media and in marketing, is required to join.
Health, insurance, and risk
- Muay Thai is a contact sport with a real risk of injury. You train at your own risk and sign our waiver.
- You are responsible for your own medical costs. If you get hurt or sick, you pay for all medical care, including emergency transport to a hospital. Jabster, its partners, and the gyms do not pay medical costs.
- Insurance is strongly recommended. Get health or travel medical insurance that covers injuries from Muay Thai training in Thailand for the full trip. Many policies exclude combat sports, so check yours. We can point you to providers that cover Muay Thai. We do not sell insurance.
- You must follow the code of conduct. We may remove anyone who breaks it, without a refund.
Travel services
In-country travel services will be provided by a licensed Thai tour operator. The partner will be named here before bookings open.
