Bangkok, Phuket, or Chiang Mai: where to train Muay Thai?
Updated October 19, 2026
The short answer
Choose Bangkok for the famous stadiums (Rajadamnern and Lumpinee), city life, and easy flights. Choose Phuket for beach camps where you train twice a day for weeks. Choose Chiang Mai for a calm, lower-cost city, but note that February is the start of the smoky burning season there. For a two-week trip with fight nights, Bangkok wins.
