Going solo: will I fit in on a Muay Thai trip?
Updated October 19, 2026
The short answer
Yes. Many people come alone. The group is small (at most 15), and the first two days are built to bring it together: a welcome dinner, an orientation day in the city, and your first training sessions side by side. By the first fight night, you are a crew.
How the group comes together
- Day 1: airport pickup, then a welcome dinner with everyone.
- Day 2: a day out in the city with a group lunch.
- Training together every weekday, then lunch, massage, and the onsen.
- Fight nights, a temple tour, and the market as a group.
Your own time too
You have your own room (or share with someone you know). Afternoons and some evenings are free. Join the group as much or as little as you like.
